Beekeeping Classes at the Women's Environmental Institute starting in April

Bone Lake Meadows Apiary will be teaching two beekeeping classes on the 4th Sunday of the month from April 23-October 22, 2023 at the Women’s Environmental Institute in North Branch

A Year in the Life of Honeybees: for beginning beekeepers

This seven session experiential class will cover the historic folklore, agricultural politics and current sciences of sustainable beekeeping in northern climates. The class is designed for beginning beekeepers and will provide hands-on experience at each turning point of the season. Each session will focus on the changing tasks that are involved with keeping bees and will include one-on-one time with the hives, guided by Angie Roushar from Bone Lake Meadows Apiary. Year Two - In the Hives

This class is for beekeepers who know the basics of beekeeping but are looking for additional skills. This class will help you with the decision-making process of what needs to be done with your hives to increase their odds of surviving during the course of a season and into the following year. The class is taught by Mike Mackiewicz, Owner of Bone Lake Meadows Apiary. Click HERE for more information.
